CHEERLEADER OF THE YEAR
SELECTION GUIDELINES
Member coaches of the Texas Girls Coaches Association
have the privilege
of nominating an
outstanding cheerleader from any grade level from 9 - 12 to be named as
Cheerleader of the Year in the Spirit Division. Head varsity coaches must be members of
TGCA by the membership nomination deadline.

Nominees must fulfill the following requirements:
1. May be selected from any grade level from 9-12.
2. Be an outstanding cheerleader.
3. Demonstrate
positive character traits (honesty, loyalty, leadership, cooperative attitude).
Two Cheerleaders of the Year will be selected for the Spirit Division by a committee selected by Varsity; one
